VENEZUELA: Rosales takes fight to Chávez over security

Two new polls released last week gave President Hugo Chávez between a 15% and 20% lead over the candidate for the main opposition, Manuel Rosales. While neither poll gave Rosales any hope of defeating Chávez on 3 December they suggested he could win up to 40% of the vote. Both polls emphasised that the issue that most concerns the electorate is insecurity.
